Starring: Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Mark Strong, James Purefoy, Dominic West, Samantha Morton, Thomas Haden Church, Willem Dafoe
Synopsis: Civil War veteran John Carter is transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior.

My attempt to create a minimalist poster for the upcoming movie by Andrew Stanton and based on the novel A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, John Carter. (Also my very first attempt to create a minimalist-styled poster.) The concept here is simple (of course); depicting Carter leaping high above the desert surface of Barssom (Mars), as the 'super-leap' ability - granted to him thanks to the planet's gravitational pull which was weaker compared to Earth's - was the first of his super abilities to be discovered as he arrived on Barsoom. Then you have the tagline, title, et cetera.

Created using Adobe Photoshop CS3. Comments, feedbacks, and critics will be greatly appreciated!

Stylin. :)
I do not like the folds, but  that is a matter of personal taste.

Thank you very much. :)

As for the folds, I was thinking of discarding it, too; but I somehow thought that it gives the whole poster a 'minimalistic' style. (Not sure how, either.) So...yeah. ;)

This is fantastic. I'd frame it on my wall in a heartbeat, given the chance.
